The UK Corporate Governance Code requires evaluation of the boards of FTSE 350 companies to be externally facilitated at least every three years. Regulatory codes in most other UK sectors also require boards to carry out regular appraisals of their performance.
We help boards and their executive teams to work out how the board can add greater value to the organisation through its leadership and oversight role. We enable clients to look forward, to assess what is working well, where change may be needed and to consider where governance development could be beneficial in the context of the strategic, commercial and stakeholder environment that the client operates within.
Our approach is designed to be tailored, focussed, non-bureaucratic and highly effective in helping boards to stand back and take stock cost effectively. Board members’ time is used carefully, confidentialities are maintained, issues are depersonalised and reporting is sensitively handled.
